Title: Doc Bailey’s
Medium: Watercolor
Dimensions:  11″h x 15″w

Some farms are almost spiritual in nature; the age of the buildings, the collection of farm implements, the worn, dusty footpaths. You can get a sense that generations of farmers have worked this land, raised kids and critters, grew vegetables and friendships. Doc Bailey’s farm is one of those places. I think a painter could spend a year painting there and still not run out of subject matter. And Doc Bailey – well he’s a treasure of a man. The type of guy that you feel honored to have met.

In this painting, I hope that I captured at least a small sense of the warmth and goodness of Doc Bailey’s farm.
