Happy Easter! This week in For the Painter #39...
"Even an artist, with her billions of brain cells firing and her heart beating passionately inside of her, must actively caress wonder: for fascination, like the desire to play, can be eradicated by the rigors of living."
-Eric Maisel, Affirmations for artists
1. A Look at the "Perfect Paper Stretcher"
I recently purchased the small size of Perfect Paper Stretcher by Ken Bromley. In this video, I describe how to stretch watercolor paper using this board.
I've attached the tripod bracket to the back so this will work with my tripod. I'll be testing it outdoors as soon as the weather gets better!
This is the where I purchased it: https://www.artsupplies.co.uk/item-perfect-paper-stretcher.htm

"Fascination is a key to productivity; it unites experiences, it is even its own reward." -Erving Polster
Something to think about - Can a painter maintain the fascination with their subject and painting process? Often the fascination comes without effort, but what about the days when it doesn't?
Have a wonder-filled week,
Vinita
