Can I see a preview?

What level of painter is this for?
I've worked with painters who are fairly new AND painters who've been at it for years.
Maybe you're frustrated with muddy colors and overworked paintings. Or maybe your technique is fine, but something is missing. You want more confidence, more expression, more YOU in your work.
(This may not be for you if you want to paint photorealistic, tightly rendered work. I paint pretty loose and impressionistic.)
What is the schedule and how much time will this take?
This is self-paced; watch and practice when it fits your schedule.
There's one live session each month (recorded if you can't join), plus optional assignments for each lesson (6 per year).
What supplies do I need?
Basic watercolor supplies that you use and enjoy: paints, brushes, paper. If you’re curious, I’ll provide a list of what I’m currently using, but there is no required supply list.

No. Online communities or forums can be a massive distraction when that time is often better spent painting. We can connect during our live sessions.

Watercolor Instructor and Certified Creativity Coach
I'm Vinita and I've been teaching watercolor for over 20 years. I live and paint on the Oregon Coast with my trusty studio assistant, Ellie the Yellow Lab.
I'm a little obsessed with learning about the creative process and watercolor techniques, and I always have a few art books on the kitchen table ready to read whenever I get a chance.
I teach the way I would want to be taught: gentle but knowledgeable, with a touch of humor. I'm an open book about my technique, and I'll help you find your own voice as a painter along the way. Painting can be a lot easier and a lot more fun than we sometimes make it. I'd love to help you get there.
