October 12-18, 2026
Event Description: Arts and the Park is an annual plein air event held near Capitol Reef National Park in Torrey, Utah, presented by the Entrada Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and celebrating the natural and cultural heritage of the Colorado Plateau and the Utah Watercolor Society. I'm honored to serve as guest juror for this year's watercolor competition. Come paint the red rock country! More Info: https://www.entradainstitute.org/
"Most watercolor instructors teach in a follow-the-leader style: watch me, copy me, try to keep up.
After 20+ years of teaching watercolor and working as a certified creativity coach, I know there’s a better way.
I don’t just show you how I paint. I teach you how to understand and expand your own creative process.
Yes, I'll teach you essential watercolor skills, and I'm an open book about my process. But you'll also learn how to trust your intuition, bypass creative blocks, and paint in a way that's not only unique to you but also a whole lot of fun." -Vinita
